MI HIGH BOOKS

I’ve been asked by Puffin Books to write two ‘novelisations’ for the MI HIGH series on CBBC. Each book will contain two episodes of the series. My job is to turn these episodes into stories on the printed page. I love the series – I think it’s really slick, fast-moving and funny, as well as brilliantly acted. I’ve got the scripts for the episodes and it’s amazing to see how much work goes into each half hour episode. Puffin want to bring the two books out in October 07. Watch this space.

CHELTENHAM LITERARY FESTIVAL

The organisers of the Cheltenham Literature Festival have asked me to do a session at the event. I’ll be talking mainly about writing action-hero/heroine thrillers, with a focus on VENUS SPRING – STUNT GIRL. I’ll be on with another author and the event should be a lot of fun.

MAX FLASH - BOOKS 3 + 4

The first two books in my brand new MAX FLASH series coming out in September, published by a brilliant new company called Stripes Publishing. Max is a brilliant contortionist and illusionist who is recruited by a shadowy organisation called the DFEA or Department For Extraordinary Activity. In MISSION 1 – GAME ON, Max finds himself inside the Virtual world of a computer battling an evil enemy who wishes to enslave the human world.

In MISSION 2 – SUPERSONIC, Max must travel to a distant galaxy to track down some fiendish aliens and save planet earth.

Stripes have asked me to write MISSIONS 3 + 4, for publication in 2008 (probably May/June). I’m working on ideas for these new books and will add some exclusive pre-publication material, here on my website.

JAMES KING OF ENGLAND 2

Meadowside Children’s Books have asked me to do a second book in my JAMES KING OF ENGLAND series and I’ll be cracking on with this very soon. They want to publish it in April 2008.
